I'm an amateur photographer.
I began shooting pictures a long time ago, when I was a teenager. At the beginning it was mainly capturing moments of my family life, particularly during holidays. Nothing fancy.
Getting older, I invested in some more advanced material and began paying more attention to the way I was taking picture, their composition, or the settings of my camera, a Nikon D90 with a 35mm lense. But it still rendered like an amateur work.
I recently relocated myself to Valparaiso region, in Chile. 3 days after landing in Santiago, I got my camera and a lot of other stuff stolen. I decided to take this as an opportunity to rethink the way I was doing photography. I bought an old analogical camera, a Canon T50 with a 28mm lense. And I began focusing myself on capturing the spirit of this country, and more specifically the atmosphere that reigns in some places, or what makes the vibrant soul of any country, the people, the workers.
Here is a selection of this work. It has no pretention but to pay tribute to those who inspired it.
